Who received the hymns

A hinário belongs to a person. It is the set of hymns that one person received over a lifetime, sung through in the order they came, and it is read in the tradition as their spiritual biography. These are the 124 people whose hinários make up this archive — 7,354 hymns between them. 20 have a biography here; the rest are recorded as the documents record them.

Names and hymn counts come from the source documents. Biographies are drawn from the tradition's own author records, and leave out causes of death, illness and family disputes. People with no role in the doctrine and no hinário of their own are not listed. 57 of these authors have pictures in the collection.
