SOM DO TAMBOR

Sigo no brilho do sol

E ando no clarão da lua

Vejo os passarinhos cantar

Saudando este lugar

Eu venho de tão longe

Que de tão longe eu vim

Cheguei no som do tambor

Ô ô ô ô ô ô ô ô

Eu vi as portas se abrir

E uma voz a cantar

E eu segui neste rodízio

Ô ô ô ô ô ô ô ô

Quando eu abri os olhos

Ali estava rezando

No pé de um Cruzeiro

Do Divino Soberano

I follow in the brilliance of the sun

And I walk in the glow of the moon

I see the little birds singing

Greeting this place

I come from so far

That from so far I came

I arrived at the sound of the drum

Ô ô ô ô ô ô ô ô

I saw the doors open

And a voice singing

And I followed in this round

Ô ô ô ô ô ô ô ô

When I opened my eyes

There I was praying

At the foot of a Cruzeiro

Of the Divine Sovereign
