CÂNTICO DOS ORIXÁS
CANTICLE OF THE ORIXÁS
- Madrinha Gecila e Daniel Neves
Ei, meu pai Oxossi
Foi quem me chamou pra lutar
Neste terreiro, com amor trabalhar
Me curar sob a luz do luar
Ei, mamãe Oxum
Que me banha nas cachoeiras
E vai limpando todas maldades que aqui
Atravessam a nossa aldeia
É, pai Oxalá
Que a todos vem alumiar
Derramando em nós vossa luz de cristal
Luz regente do alto do Astral
Ie, ie, Iemanja
Tu domina as potências do mar
E é quem salga e tempera
Do meu coração
Me ensinando a amar os meus irmãos
Aqui sigo agradecendo
A santa doutrina da floresta
E a todos os seres que aqui vem cantar
Este cantico dos Orixás
Hey, my father Oxóssi
Was the one who called me to fight
In this terreiro, to work with love
To heal me under the light of the moonlight
Hey, mother Oxum
Who bathes me in the waterfalls
And goes cleansing all the evils that here
Cross through our village
And, father Oxalá
Who comes to illuminate all
Pouring upon us your light of crystal
Ruling light from high in the Astral
Ie, ie, Iemanjá
You command the powers of the sea
And are the one who salts and seasons
From my heart
Teaching me to love my brothers
Here I go on giving thanks
To the holy doctrine of the forest
And to all the beings who come here to sing
This canticle of the Orixás
refrain, sung twicerefrain, sung three or more times
Hymn 48 of 60.
