ESTRELA GUIA

Foi no dia em que nasceu

Que a estrela Guia anunciou

Para o mundo que Ele vinha

Agora eu tenho o redentor

Os três Reis magos visitaram

A manjedoura de Jesus;

Eram os sábios recebendo

Do Sete-estrelas a Santa luz

Agora eu digo à irmandade

Do iluminado ao pecador

Que tenho sempre a estrela Guia

A anunciar o que eu sou

Ela deixou a porta aberta

À humanidade pecadora

Pra que estejamos sempre alerta:

O coração é a manjedoura

It was on the day when He was born

That the Guiding star announced

To the world that He was coming

Now I have the redeemer

The three Wise Kings visited

The manger of Jesus;

They were the wise ones receiving

From the Seven-stars the Holy light

Now I say to the brotherhood

From the enlightened to the sinner

That I always have the Guiding star

Announcing what I am

It left the door open

To sinful humanity

So that we may always be alert:

The heart is the manger
