O SEGREDO

Vovozinha foi que me ensinou

Que ramo de arruda tira mau olhado

Aparelho segue direitinho

A limpar o caminho

Pra ter corpo fechado

Meu Caboclo foi quem me falou

Que banho de folha faz descarregar

Aparelho tu anda direito

Respeito preceito

E vamos trabalhar

Criancinha disse para mim

Ser sempre feliz e me contentar

Que a alegria afugenta o medo

E é este o segredo

Que eu vim te contar

Grandmother was the one who taught me

That a sprig of rue removes the evil eye

The medium goes on straight

Cleansing the path

To have the body sealed

My Caboclo was the one who told me

That a bath of leaves makes one discharge

Medium, you walk straight

Respect the precept

And let us work

A little child said to me

To always be happy and content myself

For joy puts fear to flight

And this is the secret

That I came to tell you
