A ESTRELA

À estrela eu pedi força

E me chegas tu Benjamim

Eu pedi à estrela d’Alva

E a alva brilha em mim

Com verdade te chamei

Com amor eu percebi

Do sol é que me veio

Da lua eu recebi

Eu pedi a Santa estrela

E chegastes para mim

Cidalvino aqui chegou

Mais uma flor no meu Jardim

Cantemos, todos cantemos

Com amor e alegria

Este cântico em louvor

À Sempre Virgem Maria

Esta prenda eu herdei

Do Sagrado Rio Jordão

Testifico e justifico

O meu Padrinho é São João

From the star I asked for strength

And you come to me Benjamin

I asked the morning star

And the dawn shines in me

With truth I called you

With love I perceived

From the sun it came to me

Of the Moon I received

I asked the Holy Star

And you arrived for me

Cidalvino arrived here

Another flower in my garden

Let us sing, let us all sing

With love and happiness

This hymn in praise

To the Ever Virgin Mary

This gift I inherited

In the Sacred River Jordan

I testify and justify

My Padrinho is Saint John
