THE GIFT
English
The gift came from our Mother
From the heights of the astral
Passed down to Mestre Irineu
To Padrinho Sebastião
Right here and now to you and I
It’s the medicine of the forest
The liquid light, the Light of Christ
The leaf inside the vine, the water into wine
The moment of the miração
So, here we are, brothers and sisters
Each of us holds our place in the line
Beside our Master Jesus Christ, our Lord Juramidam
On this path of the Santo Daime
On this path of the Santo Daime
We learn to heal ourselves
Right here, where we are, shining precious stones
The shine of Sun, the Moon and Stars
refrain, sung twicerefrain, sung three or more times
Hymn 38 of 43.
