As nossas tribos viviam no deserto

Sob as estrelas de Davi e Salomão

Quando se ouviu que o Messias estava perto

Anunciado lá no Rio de Jordão

Assim partimos prontos pra Lhe procurar

E quem foi que nesse rio encontramos

São João batizando Jesus

E a pomba do Espírito Santo

No Jordão também fomos mergulhados

Adquirindo uma nova e santa fé

Por São João nós fomos doutrinados

Nos entregando à Jesus de Nazaré

Assim formamos e firmamos a união

No mais lindo de todos os tempos da terra

São João pregava no Jordão

E Jesus Cristo anunciava a Nova Era

Tantos séculos e mais séculos se passaram

E agora estamos novamente reunidos

Quem nos chamou foi o Padrinho Sebastião

Entrelaçando as linhas do nosso destino

Dou viva ao sol, dou viva à lua e as estrelas

Dou viva ao vento, viva a terra e viva o mar

Eu dou viva a quem está chegando

Para unir e assumir o seu lugar

Naquele dia a lua apontou no céu

Alinhada com três grandes planetas

Eram Júpiter, Vênus e Marte

Radiantes, brilhando como as estrelas

Era a Rainha junto com três cavalheiros

Que lá no céu abençoava quem nasceu

Eu agradeço a Minha Santa Mãezinha

Por estas prendas de amor que Deus nos deu

Our tribes lived in the desert

Under the stars of David and of Solomon

When we heard that the Messiah was near

Announced there in the River of Jordan

Thus we departed ready to look for Him

And who did we meet in that River

Saint John baptizing Jesus

And the dove of the Holy Spirit

In the Jordan we were also immersed

Acquiring a new and Holy faith

By Saint John we were indoctrinated

We surrendered to Jesus of Nazareth

Thus we formed and firmed the union

In the most beautiful of times on the earth

Saint John preached in the Jordan

And Jesus Christ announced the New Era

Many centuries and more centuries have passed

And now we are again reunited

Who called us was Padrinho Sebastião

Intertwining the threads of our destiny

I give viva the Sun, I give viva the Moon,

And viva the Stars

I give viva the wind, viva the earth, viva the sea

I give vivas to whom is arriving

To unite and to take their place

In that day the moon pointed in the sky

Aligned with three great planets

They were Jupiter, Venus and Mars

Radiant, shining as the stars

It was the Queen together with three knights

Who there in the Heaven blessed who was born
