Nos idos tempos do passado

Quando eu vivia atormentado

Pelas malignas tentações

Prisioneiro das vãs e falsas alegrias

Perdido nas fantasias

Do mundo velho de ilusão

Quase morri

E já estava a me acabar

Vendo tudo desmoronar

Oh! Que angústia, que aflição

Foi aí que um homem veio e me deu a mão

Levantou minha cabeça

Era o Padrinho Sebastião

Em mim surgiu

E de Deus Ele me falou

E o Santo Daime me entregou

Que é para mim me iluminar

Trabalhei, sofri, amei, sorri, chorei

Mas meu Jesus eu alcancei

E é a quem eu devo amar

Tenha fé

E certeza no caminho

Não se sinta nunca sozinho

Que eu estou aqui e vou te ajudar

Siga em frente, consciente em sua mente

Que eu sou a estrela do Oriente
