SÃO PEDRO

São Pedro é a pedra da Igreja

Que Jesus Cristo lhe confiou

Lhe confiou transmitindo este destino

Mesmo depois que ele Lhe negou

Galo cantou, galo cantou, galo cantou

Três vezes em Jerusalém

Jesus Cristo sofrendo a perseguição

Para Lhe ajudar não apareceu ninguém

Mesmo assim São Pedro não correu

Não fugiu e nem esmoreceu

Se firmou e acompanhou o suplício

Que a Santa luz sofreu entre os Judeus

Caminhando chorava bem baixinho

Com saudades do Seu Mestre Divino

Se lembrando da cruz e da coroa

Que Lhe teceram com 72 setenta dois espinhos

São Pedro, Madalena e João

Encontraram os lençóis postos no chão

O sepulcro estava vazio

É que Jesus havia renascido

Apareceu e perguntou a São Pedro

Se Lhe amava realmente

Lhe disse: Apascenta as minhas ovelhas

Pedro amou Jesus eternamente
