MEU MESTRE

Meu mestre baixou neste terreiro

Pra nos lembrar o tempo do cativeiro

Meu mestre ele é rei imperador

Veio nos lembrar

O tempo que se passou

Meu São Miguel

Me entrego humilhada

Sua balança pesa de conformidade

Esta matéria, ela é para morrer

Mas este Espírito, ele é para viver

É com amor, é com vigor

De Deus, Nosso Senhor

E vai seguindo sem temer a nada

Para vencer as trevas do pecado

Estrela cadente, estrela do Oriente

Estrela Dalva me ilumine eternamente

Minha Mãezinha Rainha do céu

Nos abençoe

E nos cubra com vosso véu

My mestre came down in this terreiro

To remind us of the time of captivity

My mestre, He is king emperor

He came to remind us

Of the time that has passed

My São Miguel

I give myself humbled

Your scale weighs accordingly

This matter, it is to die

But this Spirit, it is to live

It is with love, it is with vigor

Of God, Our Lord

And go on following without fearing anything

To overcome the darkness of sin

Falling star, star of the Orient

Morning star illuminate me eternally

My dear Mother Queen of heaven

Bless us

And cover us with your veil
