ME FIRMO NA FORÇA DO SOL

Me firmo na força do sol

Me firmo em São João Batista

O nosso velho pastor

Me firmo no Rei Salomão

Este símbolo de amor

Me firmo em Jesus Cristo

No nosso Pai Criador

As horas já estão chegadas

E cada mais dias vai chegar

O Mestre nos avisa

Que é para todos nós se alertar

Pedi licença a meu Pai

Para na terra eu habitar

Pedi licença a São João

Para a natureza me confortar

I stand firm in the force of the sun

I stand firm in São João Batista

Our old pastor

I stand firm in the King Solomon

This symbol of love

I stand firm in Jesus Christ

In our Father Creator

The hours are already come

And each day more will arrive

The Mestre warns us

That it is for us all to be alert

I asked leave of my Father

To dwell on the earth

I asked leave of São João

For nature to comfort me
