Deu meia noite
Quando a cancela bateu
Chamei seu Tranca Rua
Para vir me defender
De Ogum Megê
Recebeu sua espada
Para dos seus inimigos
Se defender
Do meu Pai Xangô
Recebeu todos os ensinos
Para explandir
Para todos seus irmãos
Debaixo do sol
Debaixo da lua
Mentiroso é aquele
Que diz que Tranca Rua
Não é filho de Deus
VIVAS
Midnight struck
When the gate clattered
I called upon Seu Tranca Rua
To come and defend me
From Ogum Megê
He received his sword
So that from his enemies
He might defend himself
From my Father Xangô
He received all the teachings
To spread them forth
To all his brothers
Beneath the sun
Beneath the moon
A liar is the one
Who says that Tranca Rua
Is not a child of God
