MARACÁ

Eu te entrego esta força

E tu deixa cair da mão

Vou martelar meu maraca

Até tu levantar do chão

Tu recebe estes ensinos

Eu te dou esta instrução

Que o assunto é muito sério

Tu presta bem atenção

Que eu estou dando o meu viva

Ao meu novo batalhão

Vamos todos dando viva

Às novas estrelas de São João

Viva o Cristal de Santa Maria

Viva o Cristal de São João

Este Cristal tem muita força

Não pode ficar no chão

I give to you this force

And you let it fall from your hand

I’m going to hammer my maraca

Until you get up from the floor

You receive these teachings

I give to you this instruction

For the subject is very serious

You pay careful attention

Cause I’m giving Viva

To my new battalion

Let’s all give Viva

To the new stars of Saint John

Viva to the Crystal of Santa Maria

Viva to the Crystal of Saint John

This Crystal has great force

It must not stay on the ground
