SOU PEQUENO

Nesta estrada que se apresenta

Me esforço em aprender

Mais uma vez eu peço ao Pai

De Vossa estrada eu merecer

Eu sou grande perante a ti

Se me fizer pequeninho

Se meu coração se abrir

Pro Beija flor fazer seu ninho

Sem querer me engrandecer

Ao receber o Vosso poder

Sou pequeno em Vossa casa

E só ao pequeno Vós dais asa

Irei voar nas Vossas graças

Se meu Eu se aquietar

A lição que Vós me passas

É saber se entregar

On this road that presents itself

I strive to learn

Once more I ask the Father

That I may deserve Your road

I am great before you

If you make me very small

If my heart opens

For the Hummingbird to make its nest

Without wishing to exalt myself

On receiving Your power

I am small in Your house

And only to the small do You give wings

I will fly in Your graces

If my self quiets down

The lesson You pass to me

Is to know how to surrender
