O PEREGRINO
THE PILGRIM
- Valsa · 3/4
Ele me pediu antes da passagem
I come from afar, I carry in my hands
The Holy Doctrine for my brothers
With the Mestre I learned all his teachings
In my mission I am the pilgrim
On this journey of flowers and thorns
I preached the Doctrine with much care
Wherever I passed I made many friends
Who sing with me like a little bird
I give thanks to God for my dear father
I am proud to be his child
He asked me before his passing
Cherish this Doctrine with love and courage
That is why I live in pilgrimage
Praising the Virgin of the Conception
To my brothers I say and affirm
That all my being is of Saint Francis
refrain, sung twicerefrain, sung three or more times
