LAGOA DOURADA

Eu saí caminhando feliz

No meio de uma campina

Dando vivas ao imperador

Dando graças à senhora rainha

Seguindo por esta campina

Cheguei em uma lagoa dourada

De brilhantes pedras finas

E flores tão delicadas

Eu senti um perfume tão doce

E nas asas do vento eu subi

Desejei que todos meus irmãos

Viessem também por aqui

I set out walking happily

In the midst of a meadow

Giving cheers to the emperor

Giving thanks to the lady Queen

Going on through this meadow

I arrived at a golden lagoon

Of brilliant fine stones

And flowers so delicate

I felt a perfume so sweet

And on the wings of the wind I rose

I wished that all my brothers

Would also come this way
