Eu vi a mãe Santa Maria

Cheia de alegria lá no seu Jardim

Havia um anjo iluminado

Junto a seu lado rindo para mim

Eu vi a lua radiante

Lá no céu distante derramar sua luz

Em meio de tanta beleza

Com sua realeza apareceu Jesus

Não sei por quanto tempo

Eu permaneci parado no mesmo lugar

Aquele olhar lindo e sereno

Me senti pequeno e me pus a chorar

Aos poucos tudo foi sumindo

Foi se desmanchando na imensidão

Então eu enxuguei meu pranto

Nunca chorei tanto, feliz de emoção

I saw the mother Santa Maria

Full of joy there in her Garden

There was an illuminated angel

Beside her, smiling at me

I saw the radiant moon

There in the distant sky pouring out its light

Amid so much beauty

With his majesty Jesus appeared

I do not know for how long

I remained still in the same place

That gaze, beautiful and serene

I felt small and began to weep

Little by little everything was fading away

It was dissolving into the immensity

Then I wiped away my tears

I never wept so much, happy with emotion
