Com as sete pembas

Dos sete Orixás

Ogum mandou eu discernir

E escolher entre o bem e o mal

Ele chegou rompeu linha cruzada

Com sua espada

De quebrar demanda

Ogum mandou eu me redimir

Antes do meu dia final

E trabalhar na linha de Umbanda

Da Santa Aruanda

Do meu Velho Pai

I faced the vital battle

Ogum commanded me to prepare myself

And to offer my being as an offering

With the seven pembas

Of the seven Orixás

Ogum commanded me to discern

And to choose between good and evil

He arrived, broke the crossed line

With his sword

That breaks any quarrel

Ogum commanded me to redeem myself

Before my final day

And to work in the line of Umbanda

Of the Holy Aruanda

Of my Old Father
