PRAYER FOR THE MEDIUMS

Almighty God,

Let the good spirits come and help me with the requested communication.

Keep me from presuming that I am immune to the influence of wrong-doing spirits,

To pride, which can lead me to misinterpret the value of what I receive,

And to any uncharitable feelings toward other mediums.

If I err,

Inspire someone to alert me to this fact,

And give me the humility to accept the deserved criticism.

May I also realize that the advice the good spirits give through me

Is not only directed to others, but also to me.

If I am tempted to abuse, in any form,

The gift bestowed upon me by Thy grace,

Or if I become proud of it,

I ask that Thou take it back—

Rather than let it stray from its providential objective,

Which is the good of all

And my own moral improvement.
