MINHAS CANDEIAS

Olhei aqui para baixo

Vi que ia ficando escuro

Meu Pai foi quem mandou

Para tu te sentir seguro

Eu trouxe as minhas candeias

Bem perto de onde estás

Com elas Eu ilumino

Por onde tu passarás

Desperta oh meu amigo

Que eu colho quem se entregou

Firmeza no pensamento

E fé nosso Senhor

Oh luz de tanta alegria

Meu guia a teu Santo amor

Aquele que me ilumina

Foi quem já me perdoou

Atendo a vossa Chamada

Presente, aqui estou

Aos pés do meu Amado

Jesus Cristo Redentor

I looked down here below

I saw it was growing dark

My Father was the one who sent

So that you may feel secure

I brought my lanterns

Right close to where you are

With them I give light

Wherever you shall pass

Awaken, oh my friend

For I gather the one who surrendered

Steadiness in the thought

And faith in our Lord

Oh light of such great joy

My guide, to Your Holy love

The one who gives me light

Was the one who has forgiven me

I answer Your Call

Present, here I am

At the feet of my Beloved

Jesus Christ the Redeemer
