SEREIAS DO MAR

Peço segurança ao tempo

Para vir me proteger

Peço as sereias do mar

Para vir me socorrer

Venha, venha socorrendo

Para eu me levantar

Com ajuda do Senhor

Seu Ogum da Beira-mar

Seu Ogum da Beira-mar

E a Rainha Iemanjá

Mande a nossa saúde

Vindo das ondas do mar

I take refuge in time

To come protect me

I ask the mermaids of the sea

To come help me

Come, come helping

For me to rise up

With the help of the Lord

Your Ogum of the Seashore

Your Ogum of the Seashore

And the Queen Iemanjá

Send us our health

Coming from the waves of the sea
