MEU MESTRE

Meu Mestre

Baixou neste terreiro

Pra nos lembrar

O tempo do cativeiro

Meu Mestre

Ele é Rei Imperador

Veio nos lembrar

O tempo que se passou

Meu São Miguel

Me entrego humilhada

E sua balança

Pesa de conformidade

Esta matéria

Ela é para morrer

Mas este Espírito

Ele é para viver

É com amor

É com vigor

De Deus

Nosso Senhor

E vai seguindo

Sem temer a nada

Para vencer

As trevas do pecado

Estrela cadente

Estrela do Oriente

Estrela D’alva

Me ilumine eternamente

Minha Mãezinha

Rainha do céu

Nos abençoe

Nos cubra com Vosso véu

My master

Came down to this terreiro

To remind us

Of the time of captivity

My Master, He is King

He is emperor

Came to remind us

Of the time that has passed

My São Miguel

I am humbled

By your balance

And your accordance

This matter

She is to die

But this Spirit

He is to live

It is with love

It is with vigor

In God

Our Lord

And go follow

Without fearing anything

To win over

The darkness of sin

Shooting Star

Star of the East

Morning Star

Illuminate me forever

My dear Mother

Queen of Heaven

Bless us

Cover us with Your veil
