Church bodies and lineages
Several acronyms name the religion's own institutional branches. CICLU–Alto Santo, the Centro de Iluminação Cristã Luz Universal, designates the lineage that stayed in Rio Branco under Mestre Irineu's original center. CEFLURIS, later renamed ICEFLU (Igreja do Culto Ecléctico da Fluente Luz Universal), designates the much larger branch founded by Padrinho Sebastião and centered at Céu do Mapiá; related names such as CEFLURGEM and CEFLUAGM mark affiliated centers named for other family members. CRF, the Círculo de Regeneração e Fé — also referred to in some sources as the Centro da Rainha da Floresta — designates the earlier Acre group in which Mestre Irineu first practiced before founding Santo Daime.
Regulators and researchers
A separate set of acronyms belongs to the Brazilian state bodies that have overseen ayahuasca's legal status, including ANVISA (the national health surveillance agency), CONAD and its predecessor CONFEN (national drug-policy councils), and FUNAI (the national Indigenous affairs agency, relevant given ayahuasca's Indigenous origins). Others name research and advocacy organizations that have studied or defended ayahuasca traditions, such as ICEERS (the International Center for Ethnobotanical Education, Research and Service) and the Ayahuasca Defense Fund (ADF). Taken together, this list reflects how thoroughly Santo Daime's history is entangled with Brazilian religious, legal, and scientific institutions well beyond the religion itself.
