The Peace Prayer
The prayer asks to sow love where there is hatred, pardon where there is injury, and light where there is darkness, and turns on a closing paradox: that it is in giving, pardoning, and dying that a person receives, is pardoned, and is born to eternal life. It has been translated and prayed widely well beyond Catholic circles, including in Orthodox Christian devotional collections.
This entry covers the prayer as a devotional text traditionally associated with Francis's name; it is not a Santo Daime composition.
